Ensuring both security and safety have become a critical imperative. Even though the MISRA coding standard was created to ensure software safety, it now encompasses security rules. With numerous overlaps and commonalities between MISRA C and CERT® C secure coding standards, it's difficult to know what the key differences between the two coding standards are.
